2022년부터 6월 13-17일에 부산 해운대 파라이스호텔에서 제20회 International Conference on Strangeness in Quark Matter (SQM2022)가 개최되었다. 본 컨퍼런스는 코로나19 상황의 진전에 따라 몇 차례 연기된 끝에 대면/비대면을 겸하여 대면/비대면 포함 372명이 참석하였다. SQM은 중이온 충돌물리분야에서 권위있는 국제 학회로 본 연구소 문동호 교수가 조직위원으로 참여하였으며, 본 연구소 김현철 박사가 “Understanding the initial state effects by the measurement of the Drell-Yan process in pPb collisions with CMS”, 박경환 학생이 “Investigation of in-medium effects of charmonia using azimuthal anisotropy and jet fragmentation function in PbPb collisions at 5.02 TeV with the CMS experiment”라는 주제로 연구 결과를 발표하였다.
